When our shipping setup is not (yet) the right choice

Very small shipment volumes: Operationally, the multi-carrier rules engine only pays off above a minimum volume — with just a few individual shipments a month, a simple shipping service provider is often more practical.
Purely domestic sellers with no EU ambitions: If you sell exclusively within Germany, you do not need OSS-compliant cross-border handling — the benefit of our setup then lies solely in the German carrier mix.
Oversized goods or dangerous goods: Our standard shipping runs via parcel carriers up to their weight and size limits. Bulky goods or goods subject to ADR need a freight forwarder, not a parcel multi-carrier setup.
An individual cut-off well after 2 PM: Our same-day standard is 2 PM. If you want goods ordered in the evening to ship the same day, every day, you need a different operating model.

What is same-day shipping in e-commerce?

Same-day shipping means that orders leave the warehouse on the day they are received. At LogYou this is the standard: everything that comes in by 2 PM is picked, packed and handed over to the carrier the same day. Your customers receive the shipping confirmation with tracking number on the day they order, and delivery within Germany usually follows in 1–2 working days.

Who is multi-carrier shipping suitable for?

For any online shop that serves more than one parcel format, region or target group. LogYou routes every shipment rule-based via DHL, GLS, UPS or DPD — by weight, destination country, transit time and price.
