The turning point

When growth turns into chaos at the packing table

At first, running your own warehouse on the side still works. But at some point the priorities shift: inbound deliveries block the morning, orders get picked in the evening, returns pile up over the weekend — and every sick note becomes an operational risk. That is exactly where we come in. LogYou ships more than 1.2 million parcels a year and manages 35,000 SKUs in the process, with workflows that scale from day one.

As a fulfillment provider with our own site, we are centrally located in Germany: short distances to the DHL hubs in Frankfurt and Kassel, reliable transit times to every region — and a team you can reach by phone (Mon–Fri, 9 AM–4 PM) instead of a ticket system.

Who it pays off for

Four starting points, one warehouse

Fulfillment does not pay off equally for every business model. These are the setups that knock on LogYou's door most often — as a rule of thumb, commercially viable from around 10 parcels per day.

🛍️

D2C brands

You are growing on Shopify (DE) or Shopware and want branding right into the box: inserts, sustainable packaging, unboxing moments — without standing at the packing table yourself.

🛒

Marketplace sellers

Amazon (including Seller Flex), eBay, Otto, TikTok, Temu: one central stock serves every channel, and marketplace requirements and shipping windows are enforced by the system.

🏭

Mixed B2B operations

D2C parcels in the morning, pallets to retail partners at noon — both from the same stock, with cleanly separated processes. More under B2B fulfillment.

🔁

Switchers

Your current provider no longer delivers reliably? LogYou coordinates the move — pickup, stocktake, go-live — without a shipping stop. This is how switching fulfillment provider (DE) works.

Scope of services

Six building blocks, one point of contact

Fulfillment means everything between "order received" and "parcel at the customer's door" — and, if need be, the way back as well. The full background is in our guide What is fulfillment? (DE); here are the six building blocks at a glance.

📥

Inbound

Deliveries are unloaded, counted and checked against your criteria — including relabeling and photo documentation of any discrepancies. Every line item is visible in the system as soon as it has been booked in.

🏬

Storage

Put-away on the FIFO principle in scanned storage locations; food and sensitive goods go into separately managed climate-controlled storage. Details under Warehousing.

🎯

Pick & pack

Scan-guided picking with 99.92% pick accuracy — mathematically 8 errors per 10,000 shipments. Packed in FSC-certified cartons with paper tape, 100% recyclable and PPWR-compliant.

🚚

Shipping

Multi-carrier via DHL, GLS, UPS and DPD with rule-based carrier selection. 2 PM cut-off for same-day dispatch, Germany in 1–2 and the EU in 2–4 working days. More under Shipping.

Returns

Receipt, inspection against your criteria, refurbishment: sellable goods are available again in under 48 hours. The full process is described under Returns management.

Value-added services

Kitting & sets (DE), Amazon Pre-FBA (DE) and VideoShip packing videos (DE) — all in the same warehouse, without a second service provider.

Order processing

From the click in your shop to the front door

This is how an order moves through our fulfillment center — no manual export, no Excel, no shouting across the hall. From the interface to the carrier handover, every step is scanned and traceable.

01

Order comes in

Your shop or ERP system — Shopify (DE), Shopware, WooCommerce, JTL-Wawi (DE) and many more (DE) — passes the order to LogShip automatically via the interface.

02

Scan-guided pick

Picking is scan-guided against the order: every item taken is verified right at the storage location. The result: 99.92% pick accuracy across all orders.

03

Pack, label & inserts

Packaging to your specifications — neutral or branded, including insert logic. The label comes rule-based from the right carrier, via Sendcloud (DE) if you wish.

04

Handover by 2 PM

Everything received by 2 PM goes out the same day with DHL (DE), GLS, UPS or DPD. Tracking flows back automatically to your shop and the end customer.

INBOUND & STORAGE

Errors rarely happen at shipping — they happen at inbound

That is why every delivery at LogYou is counted, checked and, where needed, relabeled before it ever sees a storage location. We document discrepancies with photos so you have evidence when dealing with suppliers. Storage follows FIFO; for products with a best-before date, automatic warnings kick in 90, 60 and 30 days before expiry — more on this under best-before & batch management (DE).

  • Quality control against your inspection criteria
  • Relabeling & photo documentation
  • FIFO put-away in scanned storage locations
  • Separate climate-controlled storage for food

Fulfillment provider or in-house shipping?

The difference rarely shows in the price per parcel — it shows in what happens when a colleague falls ill, the December peak arrives or a marketplace sets new requirements overnight.

An honest look

When a fulfillment provider is not (yet) the right choice

  • Very low, irregular volume: Below around 10 parcels per day, the fixed costs per transaction do not add up — in-house shipping often remains the cheaper solution.
  • Oversized furniture & bulky goods: Our warehouse is designed for carton and pallet goods in pick-and-pack operation. XXL furniture or goods larger than pallet dimensions need a specialist bulky-goods provider.
  • Fully customised handcraft per order: If every order requires several hours of bespoke production rather than pick & pack from stock, your own workshop is a better fit than a scaled fulfillment warehouse.
  • Goods without your own stock: If you ship exclusively by drop shipping directly from the manufacturer, there are no physical goods for us to store and ship — fulfillment only pays off once you hold your own stock.
Frequently asked questions

E-commerce fulfillment: quick answers

What is e-commerce fulfillment?
E-commerce fulfillment is the outsourced logistics behind your online shop: inbound, storage, picking, packing, shipping and the handling of returns. LogYou takes over this entire chain — including the shop connection and real-time stock levels — so you can focus on product and marketing. Across all orders, our pick accuracy is 99.92%.
Who is a fulfillment provider the right fit for?
As a rule of thumb, outsourcing starts to make commercial sense from around 10 parcels per day. LogYou works with D2C brands, marketplace sellers and mixed B2B operations — from the growing Shopify shop to the seller connected to Amazon, eBay and Otto. There is plenty of headroom: we currently manage 35,000 SKUs in fulfillment.
What does e-commerce fulfillment cost at LogYou?
You are only billed for what actually occurs: inbound, storage space, picks and shipping, each itemised separately — with no setup fee, no flat warehouse fee and no minimum term. For a first orientation, use the cost calculator further down this page; we prepare a binding quote within 24 hours once we know your volume, your weights and your shop system.
How quickly do orders reach the customer?
Orders received by 2 PM leave our warehouse the same day. Within Germany, transit time is then 1–2 working days, and 2–4 working days to other EU countries — shipped with DHL, GLS, UPS or DPD, depending on destination country and rule set.
How long does onboarding take?
Shorter than most people expect: for standard systems such as Shopify, Shopware, WooCommerce or JTL-Wawi, shop connection, SKU mapping and initial stock intake are usually done in 1 day. We reply to your enquiry within 24 hours, and a switch from another fulfillment provider runs without a shipping stop.
Does LogYou also handle returns and B2B orders?
Yes, both in parallel. Returns are received, inspected against your criteria and refurbished — sellable goods are back in your shop stock in under 48 hours. At the same time, LogYou handles B2B orders: from a single carton to a full pallet, including the delivery note and labeling requirements of your retail partners.
Does LogYou also handle kitting and Amazon FBA prep?
Yes. Kitting, set building and displays run as a value-added service directly in the warehouse — a set is picked within the order as one single pick. For Amazon we take care of Pre-FBA preparation: FNSKU labeling, polybagging and cartons to Amazon specifications, including for Seller Flex. Both run on the same stock.
How accurate is the cost calculator on this page?
The calculator covers the three variable building blocks that occur in almost every D2C order: pick & pack, shipping and returns — using the same rates that go into our quotes. Storage and inbound are not included, as both depend on SKU mix and delivery rhythm rather than on the number of orders. For a binding calculation covering all building blocks, a short enquiry is all it takes — reply within 24 hours.
